Rose's

Rose’s is an East Asian inspired eatery and bakery serving lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch with artisan pastries and sweets. Our Food is influenced by the cuisines of China, Japan and the rest of East Asia. We use North Carolina ingredients to produce dishes that embody the strong food cultures from across the Pacific that we find awe inspiring.

Our pastries, sweets, ice creams, and ice cream sandwiches are all made in house and inspired by what is in season in central North Carolina.

Justin and Katie Meddis opened Rose’s Meat Market & Sweet Shop in 2013, fusing Justin’s skill at whole animal butchery with Katie’s talent for artisan pastry. In addition to selling meat and sweets, the Shop offered sandwiches, ramen and noodle dishes drawing from Justin’s experience in Japanese restaurant kitchens in San Francisco.

In Summer 2017, Rose’s transformed from a meat market to an East Asian inspired eatery, while still serving Katie’s delicious sweets and pastries.

We prepare fresh pastries daily. Our selection varies from day to day, but our offerings include fresh fruit galettes, ice cream and ice cream sandwiches, macarons, cheesecakes, bread puddings and cookies.

Pi Day is Friday March 14th!  This is preorder only for March 14th for 9 inch pies.  When ordering online just select pick up now and then write the date in the notes. We will stop taking pre-orders for large pies at 5:00 pm on March 9th.  We will have a large selection of individual pies on the 13th and the 14th first come, first serve.
